Koch Industries Senior Vice President Mark Holden will serve as a founding co-chair on the Board of Trustees of the Council on Criminal Justice, along with former U.S. Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.
The Council on Criminal Justice, formally launched Tuesday, is a new independent and nonpartisan organization based in Atlanta that will look to develop policy ideas and consensus around solutions that work for all communities.
“I’m pleased to join the Council on Criminal Justice because this is the right organization at just the right time for the criminal justice field. Because of the reforms at the federal and state levels since 2007, this country now has an abundance of talented, dedicated people and organizations pushing for reform, which is great – but we need to think bigger. We need to be a united front to guide and accelerate progress, and CCJ is uniquely designed and equipped to play that role,” Holden said.
The Council’s advisory Board of Trustees also includes U.S. Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, former California Gov. Jerry Brown, Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, and Van Jones of CNN.
